Three Groups Who Hate the Police in Jakarta

Chairman of the Law Commission of the House of Representatives Suardika Gde Pasek said there are three groups who resent the presence of the police. The three groups also alleged to be the perpetrators and the brain of shootings of police officers.


"The first group are criminals, such as drug networks, terrorists, and other criminal groups," said Gde Pasek during the discussion in Cikini, Saturday, September 14, 2013.

The second group is the police authority competitors. Regarding this group, Pasek very reluctant to explain clearly. He believes this group is likely to feel jealous or offended broad police powers.

While the third group are those who grudge to the police because he had experienced the criminalization of deviant or treatment. "The third group should start with improving the system eroded the police service," he said.

Pasek's claim that he had not been informed which group was behind the shooting of five police officers lately. He felt the police should be careful  because the clues is not only leading to the terrorist group.

Head of Public Relations Division Police Headquarters, Inspector General Franky Sompie Ronnie,  did not dismiss the possibility of the existence of the three groups. However, according to him, the police did not consider this third group as the enemy.

Similarly, in the second group, according to Ronnie, the Police is ready if there are state agencies that assess the police authority is too broad. Police ready to undergo evaluation and be willing to follow all decisions. "We just set up a member of both quantity and quality," said Ronnie.
